fralinger, and what we can expect? >> one of those forecasts where i think looks can definately be very deceiving. and actually it, may end up being little worse outside than what it may appear on storm scan. okay, so granted, there is quite a bit of our area that's not finding anything, in the way of precipitation out there at all. but notice what's happened in the last three hours. see how the rain showers in the green have since turned over to pink. so what is telling that you there are some colder air nudging its way in. sure enough still finding some temperatures that are flirting with or below or right near freezing, and that's the concern. quick check on visible pretty decent fog settling in here with very low-lying cloud cover in atlantic city, up in the poconos under 2 miles generally speaking, it is not ideal. so you want to slow it down because that far too. but in addition as we mentioned moment ago winter weather advisories for the actual precipitation falling. these lasts us until 6:00 a.m. tomorrow. my long 24 hour time periods so it does not become an

sitting out here all night covered in ice. that's the casino every thing that i think that people can expect to find, especially areas maybe from right about trenton, points north but these temperatures have been steadily dropping. at 3:00 in the morning we start today hit the freezing mark through trenton, and areas to the north and it has been pretty steady drop. now not going all that low but it is low enough that it is a problem. so that's what you are finding, state capitol they're fine, but your neighborhood, your walkway maybe not so much. and we will check on the other roads with jess. >> having pretty quiet commute so far especially considering the volume. we don't have much of it out there just few things starting to pop up as it is just a little after 6:00 in the morning on monday. we go outside check out how the schuylkill expressway is doing right now. you can see disable vehicle here, right around gulph mills, and these are the eastbound lanes so you can see little bit of wet and slippery at the same time, but we do have disable vehicle here pushed over into the

right hand shoulder. not really setting anybody back. taking out any of the lanes oring in but see crew on the scene trying get this guy out of the way for the time being. over on 59 around cottman starting to see little bit more volume in the southbound lanes, headed towards the center city area. definitely wet roadways here see specially northbound lanes as headlights drive on by headed towards northeast philadelphia area, as well. area bridges doing on, we do have speed restrictions down to 35 miles an hour, in the east and westbound lanes on the be is he ross bridge due to fog. otherwise, 202 from the schuylkill expressway, into route 30 about 12 minute trip, no problems currently on 422 headed westbound. erika, back to you. >> thank you breaking news right now crash involving a firetruck has sent one woman to the hospital. it happened just before 5:00 a.m., on west oaklane, at the corner of 69th and old york road. the injured woman is in stable condition. no one was on the firetruck that was injured.

we're not yet clear what led to the accident. we'll stay on top of t autopsy scheduled today for ville ers civil university freshman karlie hall. eighteen year olds from chaddsford downed dead in her dom room yesterday morning. authority charge karlie hall's boyfriend gregor iho with aggravated assault there. was some sort of physical altercation between the two. he remains in a lancaster county jail unable to post 10% every his $1.5 million bail. and the murder trial begins today for this man richard plots, 50 year old accused every fatally shooting his mental health case worker last july at mercy fitzgerald hospital in darby borough. his psychiatrist also suffered a graze wound to the head before pulling his personal firearm and shooting plots. at pretrial hearing last month, plots told a judge he wanted to plead guilty. >> well, a warning about what you put on social media. this follows a northeast philadelphia break-in, where thieves new what they wanted

"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us now from northeast detective to tell you more about it. justin? >> reporter: ukee, good morning. yes, police are now looking for three men who made off with those item. we now include rolex and several gold chains there is morning they are now exploring the idea that the teen victim's instagram post may have made him a target. ask this man, he will tell you his roommate's robbery was not random. >> i know a lot of people are jealous every my roommate. >> the envy likely over this, expensive watches, jewelry and cash, posted on the teen victim's stain gram page. >> as a matter of fact, the victim says when the three mask men burst through his front door overnight sunday, they asked for the rolex and valuables they saw on his page. >> definitely somebody who affiliated when him it had to be. they know where you live. they are telling you what you have. it is almost inviting them. >> in four other male teen malls were in the apartment and one imagine and today call for help. but as police arrived

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us now at the east falls campus as the team gets in their first practice since the big win. jan, good morning. >> reporter: erika, ukee, good morning, it is back to the grinds for the men's basketball team here at philadelphia university after a historic win on saturday, and the newest banner here in the gym indicates exactly what that is. 1,000 wins. men's basketball coach herb motorcycle guy, 1967 to 2015. so a the love excite here at the morning practice, as the guys practice, take a look at this video. a loft excitement as you can imagine, coach magee won his 1,000 game. making him the second ncaa men's basketball coach to accomplish the feet behind coach duke. the win came against post here

buses and trolleys. so see if you're affected by that in effect by last week, back to you. >> thank you. off initials pittsburgh announce new security policy following a triple shooting at a mall on saturday. from now on, anyone the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while at monroe ville mall. meanwhile 17 year old thornhill sits behind bars this morning charged with shooting. investigators believe thornhill was targeting one of the victims and the other two were just innocent bystanders. two of the victims remain in critical condition. also, near pittsburgh, a teenager faces murder charges after investigators say he took a selfie with the victim in the background. sixteen year old ryan was found shot to death in this home last wednesday. officers say the teen charged sent the picture to another friend, who then reported it to police. 6:25 right now. montgomery county health officials say a suspected case of measles was a false alarm. a physician suspected 15 year old boy who came into the er

we have our eye on the system rain, sleet snow later, mixed day depending where you. >> really the thing here, temperatures will gradually just decline throughout the day. maybe you had just couple of rain showers overnight already moved out. they could have frozen over. one of the tricky forecasts, i zoom it in, looking at the last five hours of precipitation, couple rain showers, delaware county, not anything falling from the sky. but, keeping in minds as temperatures have had a chance to drop off that could have frozen over. stowe could mean that you've

for more on what we're finding out there on the roadways right now, we send it over to meteorologist carol erickson live with the mobile weather lab, hi, carol. >> very light rain out there but the problem as we new katie, would be the temperatures. and where are they? so light rain no big deal. but light rain when it is 28 degrees, is we're finding it right now in the mobile weather lab that's a problem. we are headed through new jersey, on route 29, at this point, and we're currently in hopewell township, on our way to lambertville. these are the kinds of roads where you know that 95 more than likely has been treated. you get into some of these areas where the roads are wet temperatures steadily dropping as we've gone through the overnight time period, and this is when you go oh, boy is it really treated or not? and it is impossible to tell. as you're in the car what you're dealing with, when you see these wet roads out here. the traffic is heavy i haven't seen anybody have a

problem, and we haven't had a problem either. i think it is just in the back of your mind when you look at the temperatures, and you look at precipitation coming down, and there is a report of light freezing rainout at the trenton airport. areas from say mercer county on north and offer to the west, and east, that's where you really want to pay very close attention to any of this precipitation that falls in trenton, we saw car that was just covered in ice just from the light rain. and the temperatures dropped, and then froze solid. this is the challenge as you head out the day today. and we're on one of these narrow roads where there is no marge inch of error. so, if there is a problem there is a problem. so, that's why we're going to take it slow here in the weather lab on route 29, still, let me check our navigation here, still headed through hopewell township, and we have the delaware river offer to our left, it is -- it could be worse it, could be a lot of snow out there. not seeing that. but seeing just enough with a temperature just enough that
